LANDac, IPAR Senegal and ASCL workshop report (in French): Accountability in land governance in Senegal

Accountability in land governance concerns the ways in which governing bodies and their representatives who are responsible for decisions concerning land claims, settling land disputes and drafting development and environmental plans for their territories (at national, regional and local levels) are accountable to the citizens they represent and serve. Factors such as the implementation of new land laws, issues of land grabbing, climate change, and persistent poverty mean that good governance of land and the environment will be crucial for Senegal’s development in the decades to come.
