The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and Lantmäteriet  (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority) invite applications for the Advanced International Training Programme (ITP) on APPLIED LAND GOVERNANCE.

This training programme focuses on land related issues to develop trusted public administration with a clear mandate to enhance impartial, transparent and reliable services to society.

The main purpose of this programme is to strengthen capacity of public institutions in the area of Land Management, particularly concerning the ability to effectively deliver services that would enhance people’s, and in particular women’s, land rights in a participatory and transparent manner.

The programme also seeks to develop competence of participating strategic individuals to carry out necessary reforms and organisational changes in the public land administration authorities.

ITP is structured to create an environment for cooperation and partnership between different stakeholders with the aim of contributing to wider societal change processes in the participating countries.

The scheduled programmes will be September 10 – 30, 2017 in Gävle, Sweden, and March 4 –11, 2018 in one of the participating countries.
